This privacy policy explains how Sprect Private Limited and its subsidiaries, affiliates and parent companies (collectively, “Sprect”) collect, use, share and protect information obtained from the services, websites, and applications offered by Sprect (the “Service”), including www.Sprect.com (the “website”). Sprect receives and stores any information users enter on website.
REGISTRATION
In order for users to use Sprect’s services they must complete a registration form. As a part of this registration form, Sprect requires certain personal information to provide services and to communicate with users through their consent when users register on the website. The collection of personal information from users is limited to information that is required in order to provide services to them.
INFORMATION COLLECTED
Sprect collects information that users voluntarily provide, like personal information and documents, including but not limited to name, gender, date of birth, addresses, mobile number, email, education record, employment record, Aadhaar number, other government issued IDs such as Voter
ID, PAN card, driving license etc. (collectively known as “Proprietary Information”). Sprect collects information from users in various ways, including when they register with the website, submit content to the service and schedule a session. Users have the right to edit, update, access, or transfer personal information, or to delete personal information if they are terminating their registration with Sprect.
When users log-on to the website, Sprect automatically receives information from the registered users’ computer and browser, including their IP address. Sprect may use cookies and web beacons.
USE OF COLLECTED INFORMATION
Sprect may use user’s personal data in the following ways:
to identify as the author of content who submits the content;
to fulfil users’ requests for products and services;
to administer, support, improve and develop business;
to administer a contest, promotion, survey or other website feature;
and to send user information about Sprect.
AUTOMATIC INFORMATION
Sprect receives and stores certain type of information whenever a user interacts with the website. Sprect and its authorized agents automatically receive and record certain “traffic data” on their server logs from user’s browser and apps including their IP address, Sprect cookie information, and the pages requested by users. Sprect uses this traffic data to help diagnose problems with its servers, analyse trends and administer the site. This does not involve collection of any personal information.
In addition to the “traffic data”, Sprect and its authorized agents may collect information about the device a user is using to access Sprect, its operating system, unique device identifier, device settings such as language and crash data. Type of Data specifically collected depends on the type of device and/or system running on that device. This data is again used to help Sprect diagnose problems with the website and/or mobile apps and analyse trends.
Sprect may collect and use information regarding the geographic location of users’ devices. If the location data contains personal information on the user, then Sprect will treat this location data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Sprect may collect and, on any page, display the total counts that page has been viewed. This includes User Profile pages.
COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES
If Users choose to login to Sprect through their Facebook account, they must use the email address and password of their Facebook account. Once the user grants permission to Sprect to their Facebook basic information (this includes name, profile picture, gender, networks, user IDs, list of friends, date of birth, email address, and any other information accessible to the public on their Facebook account), Sprect stores such information with other information collected from the user. The privacy rights arising from any information sourced from Facebook are solely governed by Facebook’s privacy policy.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
Sprect does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties the personal data of users. This does not include partners trusted third parties who assist Sprect in operating the Service, conducting business, like vendors, advertisers, measurement partners, researchers or other service providers, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
Sprect may also release user information when they believe that the release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce website policies, or protect company or others rights, property, or safety. Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
Sprect’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
BACKGROUND VERIFICATION
Users affirm that Sprect or its entity/agency (“Verifier”), may undertake background verification checks of Mentors in order to authenticate their identity and competency as a professional. All users expressly consent and acknowledge to the following:
Mentors do not and will not have any objection to Sprect sharing the Mentor’s “Proprietary
Information” (as defined under clause 2 of this policy) with the Verifier for the purpose of background checks and verification, so long as such Verifier agrees to keep this information confidential
Users acknowledge that the digital record of the Proprietary Information on the Verifier’s platform shall be accessible to Sprect and their authorized partners/affiliates/contractors shall be entitled to
access and update such digital record on the Verifier’s platform, including data, documents, certificates, verification reports, references, testimonials, etc.
In an event when, user has to edit and/or deleting the digital record from the Verifier’s platform, the user can send an email to such email address of the Verifier which shall be immediately provided by the Sprect.
Sprect reserves its right to take appropriate actions (in its sole discretion) pursuant to the outcome such a background verification.
RETENTION OF INFORMATION
Users may deactivate their Sprect account from the site. In which case their information will be removed from public access, but will be stored with Sprect to continue to be identified by name as the author of such content. To delete the profile from all Sprect servers, users must contact the website officials at [email protected]. For the protection of users, they are required to send the email from the email address associated with their account. Sprect will verify user’s identity before implementing the request for cancellation.
TRANSFER OF DATA OUTSIDE OF HOME COUNTRY
The user information will be held on Sprect servers that maybe located outside India. The information may also be stored, processed and accessed in other countries where Sprect has facilities or where the user is located. Users consent to the transfer of their information outside their country, including to/from India.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
Sprect may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time, at its sole discretion. Use of information collected is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If any changes are made to the Privacy Policy, notification will be sent to the users via email, through notification posted on the services, or as required by applicable law, so users are always aware of what information is collected, how it is used, and under what circumstances, if any, it is disclosed.
COOKIES
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that Sprect transfer to a users computer’s hard drive through Web browser to enable the sites systems to recognize Sprect’s browser and informs Sprect on how and when the website is visited and by how many people. Sprect cookies do not collect personal information.
Sprect utilizes third-party services like Google Analytics to help analyse how the website is used. These services, including Google Analytics, also use cookies to collect information about visitors to the website (including IP addresses) in an anonymous form that does not include personal information.
The “help” portion of the toolbar on the majority of browsers will direct users on how to prevent browser from accepting new cookies, how to command the browser to tell users when they receive a new cookie, or how to fully disable cookies. Sprect recommend that users leave the cookies activated because cookies allow users to use some of Sprect’s specific features.
THIRD-PARTY AD NETWORKS
Some of Sprect’s business partners, like advertisers, may use cookies on the website. Sprect has no access to, or control over, these cookies. Sprect uses third-party advertising services to deliver advertising about Services on other websites and applications a user uses. Such ads are placed based on the tracking data collected by both Sprect and these ad services. Third party ad network providers, advertisers, sponsors and/or traffic measurement services may use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons (including clear GIFs), Flash LSOs and other technologies to personalize advertising content for users. These third-party cookies and other technologies are governed by each third party’s specific privacy policy, and not by Sprect’s Policy.
ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTERS, INVITATIONS, POLLS and SURVEYS
If users wish to receive any of the free services by Sprect, as listed below, they may have to provide additional personal information to facilitate its services:
ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTERS
Sprect may offer electronic newsletters to users by collecting the email addresses of users who sign up for Sprect newsletter mailing list. These maybe periodic promotional or informational newsletter. Users may opt-out of such communications by following the opt-out instructions contained in the email. Please note that it may take up to 10 business days to process opt-out requests.
“SEND TO A FRIEND”
Users can gift a session to a friend who chooses by providing his or her email address, as well as the email address of the recipient. In such a purpose, the user’s email address is used only in the case of transmission errors and, of course, to let the recipient know who sent the email.
SURVEYS
Information may be collected for a survey conducted by Sprect to better target content for the users. Individual responses from these surveys will not be shared with any third party. However, the aggregate data from the survey conducted will be shared with third party service providers, partners, and other third parties. Sprect may post aggregate data containing survey responses; such data may be viewed and downloaded by other registered users as well.
PROTECTION OF INFORMATION AND WEBSITE
Sprect account information is protected by an encrypted password for user privacy and security. Only employees who need personal information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative) are granted access to it. All employees are kept up to date on the privacy and security practices.
CONDITIONS OF USE
If a user decides to visit Sprect website, their visit and any possible dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes and application of law valid in conformity within the jurisdiction of India.
