Saumitra Dubey

Saumitra and I worked together in a team helping to secure the Digital Tax platform for UK taxpayers at HMRC. Saumitra is one of those rare individuals who is capable of grasping problems and helping provide solutions at any level. He quickly adapts to the business, is able to easily translate and communicate problems to the team and help provide solutions. He has repeatedly demonstrated these qualities within his time at HMRC whilst also being really passionate about delivering quality solutions. I met Saumitra at HMRC, when I joined the Government Gateway team, part of the Multi Digital Tax Platform (MDTP), providing authentication services to more than 50 service teams developing over 300 micro services. Saumitra impressed me from day one with his knowledge about the platform and the needs of both the end user and our client. I was convinced he must have been working there for years before discovering that he only joined a few months before me. In my experience Saumitra is one of a very few exceptional individuals, able to not just explore but also become experts at any topic in a matter of days and then be in a position to explain it in both the technical language of the delivery team and the business language of our stakeholders. Needless to say I would not have to think twice if I ever get the opportunity to work with Saumitra again and I hope I am lucky enough to get that opportunity.
